Hanford Tank Waste Operations & Closure, LLC (H2C) has been awarded the Hanford Integrated Tank Disposition Contract (ITDC) by U.S Department of Energy’s Office of Environmental Management (DOE EM). Our team brings the capabilities necessary to reduce DOE’s environmental liability and risk, accelerate tank waste disposition, and decrease lifecycle costs for the duration of the ITDC. Following the contract award that was announced on February 29, 2024, a four month transition began on October 21, 2024. H2C will keep this website updated with current information for employees transitioning to the ITDC. |

Small businesses play a major role in our vision to reduce risk and liability. Using scope-based tasks as the basis for procurement, H2C will integrate small businesses to deliver innovation, efficiencies, and savings.
We commit to begin the contract by offering 18 percent of the year-one contract value (more than $300 million) to small business and building the engagement infrastructure to increase that by a half-percent each year until FY27, when we reach 20 percent of that year’s contract value.
H2C will continue the commitment to community engagement established by our parent companies and affiliated companies.
Our community engagement activities will focus on these primary areas:
